About Me

I’m a psychotherapist and Licensed Clinical Social Worker dedicated to supporting adults as they navigate life’s complexities. With sixteen years of experience in a variety of clinical settings, I’ve had the privilege of working with a dynamic mix of clients—professionals, artists, parents, and college students—each with their own unique challenges and stories.

Prior to starting my practice, I was at the Vanderbilt University Counseling Center, where I developed a strong foundation in supporting young adults through academic pressures and personal stressors. Later, my time with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs deepened my understanding of trauma and resilience, allowing me to work with clients from diverse backgrounds and facing significant emotional, social, and psychological challenges.

Therapeutic Approach

You’ll find me to be warm, attentive, accepting, and down to earth. I also bring my share of humor into the therapy process when it feels right—because I believe that therapy, like life, can be both serious and lighthearted. My style is collaborative and flexible: energizing when you’re ready for change, and steady when you need to slow down and tune into your innermost thoughts and feelings.

I integrate evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI), blending them within a humanistic, relational framework. I also draw on personality tools like the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® (MBTI) to support self-understanding and clarity about your next steps. Together, we’ll explore the patterns that may be holding you back and build the skills you need to move forward with confidence.

I am deeply committed to providing a comfortable and affirming space for all individuals—regardless of race, culture, religion, ability, sexual orientation, gender expression, or neurotype. In our work together, my goal is to create an environment where you feel truly seen and supported.

Who I Work Best With

I work best with clients who are ready to dig deep, share openly, and actively participate in their own growth. If you’re passionate about self-discovery and eager to make meaningful change, we’ll likely work well together!

Many of my clients are navigating layered identities and responsibilities. They may be exploring their neurodivergence, parenting intense or high-needs children, questioning long-held beliefs about themselves, or feeling the emotional weight of burnout in their work or relationships. Some are in partnerships where different neurotypes are at play, working to improve communication, mutual understanding, and connection.

What they all share is a desire for change—and a readiness, even if it’s just a spark, to show up with honesty and self-compassion.

I provide therapy services exclusively via telehealth, offering flexibility and convenience for clients with busy lives or those located in multiple states. Telehealth allows us to connect from the comfort of your home, office, or wherever you feel at ease, while still providing the same depth, presence, and quality of care.
